About Casebook

Most psychology students meet their first real client before they’ve had a real conversation. The Ego Studio built Casebook to close that gap — a place to practice the hardest parts of clinical work before the stakes are real.

Our simulated patients aren’t scripted quiz questions. They hesitate. They deflect. They test whether you’re actually listening before they tell you what’s wrong. Trust builds — or doesn’t — across the conversation, the same way it does in a real consulting room.

Every session ends with a mentor’s hand on your shoulder: a report that scores empathy, clinical accuracy, technique, communication, and professional conduct, and points to the exact moment a different question would have opened a door.

We built Casebook for psychology students in India — training environments here are scarce, supervised practice hours are precious, and the cases our students will meet are local ones. Five patients are already waiting: depression, anxiety, denial, crisis, and an adolescent who’d rather be anywhere else.

This is early. We’re a small team at The Ego Studio, and we’re building this in the open with the students and educators who use it. If you have thoughts, we want to hear them.
